Q: What motivates you to seek or continue in this office?
A: I am seeking this office to use my experience working with law and office management to help the office/staff run as effectively and efficiently as possible. I also wish to work with the community to make them aware of what services this office provides and work with the community to make them as knowledgeable about wills and estates so that this difficult time is as easy, and simple as possible.
Q: What are your qualifications for office? Can you provide examples of past experiences or accomplishments that demonstrate your ability to effectively lead and collaborate with others in a governmental setting?
A: I am a Delaware Certified Paralegal that has run a law office for twenty years. I have both the knowledge of law and how to effectively run an office. I have previously worked in State Government – the Department of Justice and the Division of Child Support Enforcement – for approximately twelve years.
Q: What are the most important ways that this county office serves the public? Please highlight any aspect(s) of your services of which residents should be made more aware.
A: This office handles wills and estates. They have to deal with members of the public during some of the worst times in their lives. However, the general public mostly do not know what is involved in wills and trusts and the procedures of such. I intend to work very closely with the public to educate them so that this process can occur as simple as possible. The county is currently working on an upgraded website that will aid in this. I would like to continue to evolve the site so that the public can access information, forms, and procedures as easily as possible.
